Orthodontic articles
Dr Gray provides a large variety of orthodontic treatments to all his patients in the Durban area. He was previously trained by well known orthodontist Dr Knights-Rayson on how to handle each orthodontic case with careful precision and has done countless orthodontic courses on how to deal with complex orthodontic treatment cases. We offer normal metal braces as well as clear braces which are less catching to the eye.
We arrange initial deposit and payment plans to allow braces to be paid off with time.
We offer orthodontic treatment to all ages from 6 years and above depending on what is needed.
Clear Aligner Treatment
We have access to some of the latest orthodontic treatments which are also known as clear aligners.
With clear aligners, see through trays are worn 22-24 hours per day to move teeth into place just like normal orthodontic braces. We provide these solutions to majority of our Durban adults patients who don’t want to wear braces since these trays are very aesthetic and don’t appear as flashy in the mouth as braces do.needed.
Crown and Bridge solutions
At our practice we offer a large range of crown and bridge work which allows us to fix extremely broken teeth, gaps between teeth and teeth that are not strong enough for fillings to be placed. We have access to the latest technology CEREC and Milling machines which allows 3D technology to Mill crowns and bridges in house instead of sending them to a lab to be made.
Crowns can be done within 1 hour and no temporary teeth need to be made for the meanwhile.
Veneers and smile makeovers
Porcelain Veneers can be done to change the shape, colour and size of teeth in the front of the mouth. With a row of veneers on the front teeth we can do what we call a smile makeover which can change to smile and change your life. We work very closely with the laboratory to create specific veneers that suite your face and smile.
The alternative to Porcelain Veneers is injection molding veneers or composite veneers which is using filling material to make the front teeth look gorgeous. We still get amazing aesthetic results from this method but the teeth aren’t quite as strong as Porcelain Veneers but it is more budget friendly for those who are thinking about Porcelain Veneers in the future but want to test something else out.
Teeth whitening
Teeth whitening is a process in which we isolate the teeth away from the gums to ensure no pain is felt when placing whitening chemicals on the teeth to break up stains that are embedded inside the teeth. This can be done either with active ingredient carbamide peroxide solution or hydrogen peroxide solution specifically mixed with dental solutions to whiten your teeth.
Teeth whitening can either be done in chair over a few sessions or which most of our Durban patients prefer which are at home kits.
Root Canal Treatment
We offer root canal treatment services which are pain free and we ensure that you are comfortable before continuing your procedure. We have access to some of the latest technologies with root canals, making the process go a lot faster than they did in the old days.
We also make sure that we following all the correct protocols when it comes to root canal treatment by using universal European and American isolation protocols when it comes to root canal treatment in our practice.
Dental Implants
If you are missing a tooth or if a tooth needs to be removed, a dental implant can be placed as long as we have enough bone in the area. Dental implants are made of strong metal which integrate with the bone.
After the dental implant has integrated we can place a crown on top to close the gap and create function and aesthetics once again.
