When this nerve has been removed, inflammation usually stops a few days after the root canal treatment and the tooth can be filled their at the same appointment or at the next appointment depending on what your dentist thinks is best.
Is It Normal For A Recently Root Canal Treated Tooth To Hurt?
It’s quite normal for the tooth which received a root canal to be tender for awhile afterwards since lots of work was done on the tooth to remove bacteria and fill the tooth. It usually takes a few days for the pain to subside and things to become normal once again.

Is There a Minimum Age For Root Canal Treatment?
Root canal treatments are most of the time done on permanent adult teeth because they are longer in the mouth therefore more chances for them to get injured or cavities.

Therefore there is no minimum age for root canal treatment since removing pain and the nerve can be done on any tooth whether it’s a baby tooth or adult tooth.
